Premium aluminium curtain track installation
1. Preliminary information
The Premium aluminium track can be installed:
- to the ceiling – using dedicated mounting brackets,
- to the wall – using dedicated mounting brackets and metal wall brackets sold separately.
The Premium track:
- is not suitable for curved (arched) installations,
- is not available in a double version.
Before starting installation, check that the kit is complete:
- Premium aluminium rail,
- mounting brackets (ceiling or wall-mounted – depending on the variant),
- end caps,
- connectors (if several rails are being installed),
- curtain/voile curtain hanging components: eyelet sliders plus optional screw hooks and stoppers.
2. Installing the first end cap
Install an end cap on one end of the track and tighten it using an Allen key. This will prevent the elements from sliding out of the track channel during further work.
3. Connecting two tracks (if applicable)
If two tracks are installed, insert the connector partially into each track, slide the elements together so that no gap remains, then tighten the connector with screws to ensure a stable connection.
4. Inserting fabric hanging elements
Insert the following items into the rail channel to hang your voile curtains or curtains:
- eyelet zips – for curtains and voile curtains with the flex system,
- eyelet sliders + ‘snail’ hooks – for voile curtains and pencil pleat curtains,
- stopper – prevents the sliders from moving and locks them in place,
- for voile curtains and pencil pleat curtains on the Wave system, it is necessary to use dedicated sliders connected by a cord, which should be added when ordering the curtains/voile curtains.
Tip: To calculate the number of sliders required, divide the length of the rail by 10, assuming that the sliders are spaced approximately 10 cm apart.
5. Fitting the second end cap
Once all components are in place on the rail, fit the second end cap and tighten it using an Allen key.
6. Measuring and positioning the brackets
Plan the positioning of the mounting brackets on the ceiling or wall.
Recommended distances:
- approx. 20 cm from each end of the rail,
- approx. 70 cm between each bracket.
Pay attention to the correct orientation of the mounting bracket – see diagram.
7. Installing the brackets
Pre-fix the brackets to the ceiling or wall using suitable wall plugs and screws appropriate for the substrate type. Do not tighten them fully – leave a small amount of play. Make sure all brackets are securely fixed and aligned in one straight line.
8. Attaching the track to the brackets
Place the Premium aluminium track into the installed mounting brackets. Then slide the bracket lock to secure the track against sliding out. Once the track is correctly seated, fully tighten the mounting brackets.
INSTALLATION GUIDELINES – DISTANCES
Wave pencil pleat curtains
- first rail: approx. 7 cm from the wall or the most protruding element,
- spacing between rails: approx. 14 cm,
- clearance to the cover plate: approx. 7 cm.
Flex curtains
- first rail: approx. 3 cm from the wall or the most protruding element,
- spacing between rails: approx. 6 cm,
- spacing to the cover plate: approx. 5–6 cm.
INSTALLING PREMIUM TRACKS ON THE WALL
- Use a metal wall bracket for wall mounting.
- Screw the mounting bracket onto the wall bracket.
- Once you have marked out the correct distances, screw the prepared bracket onto the wall.
- Place the Premium aluminium rail into the mounted mounting brackets.
- Then slide the bracket lock into place to prevent the rail from sliding out.
- Fit the end cap onto the mounting bracket.
